Friends and Family Test
The government's NHS friends and family test (FFT) is an opportunity for you to provide feedback on NHS services that provide your care and treatment. It was introduced in 2013 in hospitals and, from 1 December 2014, to doctor's surgeries, too.
Basically, the FFT asks patients whether they would recommend their practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment. This means every patient is able to give quick feedback on the quality of the care they receive, giving GP practices a better understanding of the needs of their patients and helping things to improve. Eventually, the government's aim is for the FFT to become available to everyone using any NHS service.
